At the apex of Zephyr Transit hub

I overlook phosphorous shrouds

As the crest of Helios rises on Cascadia

Evoking my quiet meditation, a post-run refuge from K-Sec patrols

burning my heels by gridNode chase.

For one moment, time dissolves inwards as light scours the City of Glass.

I call it the dawn breach:

A prism of fractures that even the outCastes of Greylands can touch,

And in my solitude I feel the rage of deviants unnamed,

Bristling for rebellion.

One day,

When Icarus denies the sky its fiery tenants

I'll chalk my hands which chafe the scaffold

to etch my tar-seared tread into the Anansi Tower

And its white-hot pillars of corporate glare,

Sailing as Erato and Thalia -

And learn to be free.
