You traverse the dead rock of our cosmic brethren.

To the west: Karst spires rise among the regolith, while the sfumato of a debris cloud plumes to the east. North-bound, you step into the shade of a giant stele from which the all-knowledge of our genesis is unveiled, the words of your mentor lingering on the periphery:

"The golden age of space travel has been and gone," your memory echoes, "For even the enigmatic scramble of a nebula cannot reach the poetry of our imagination."

You head south.
