Fragments from the Vault
Imagine you are
the sole survivor of Earth's apocalypse - the last living trace of humanity - and you've been tasked with
creating a digital archive of civilization's greatest achievements: Literary epics, scientific discoveries, revolutions etc. to
launch beyond orbit with the hope that another species will discover our legacy one day.
A seemingly impossible endeavour, but instead of feeling daunted by the work you find yourself choosing something closer to the heart: Works of art which resonated with your conscious self and gave you a story; works that became memories, reflections, and revelations as you shared in the intimacy of life.
It could be an image of an abandoned picnic, an old love letter, a broken song - a "fragment" of a life whose mystery you've come to unravel on your journey in discovering the world you must leave behind - a world which, through you, will never be forgotten. Welcome to the Archive.
*This project is dedicated to Craig and Elvira, my inspirations behind Fragments.
